When the Godfather says he will help, Fontane says, "It's too late, they start shooting in a week." Vito Corleone then says this quote. Singer Johnny Fontane (Al Martino) has complained to the Godfather that he won't be getting a role in an upcoming war movie that he really wanted. This quote takes place in Vito Corleone's office, during the wedding reception of his daughter Connie (Talia Shire) to gangster Carlo Rizzi (Gianni Russo). ![]()
